About Me
Movies have always been something intriguing to me. To watch a story which only has had existed in written form or as mere thoughts unfold visually is a bless. When I first dipped a toe in the massive pond of multimedia I would have never thought to end up here. What started as Android app and web development quickly changed into design and thereafter in 3D. I quickly lost myself its vast variety of different disciplines, although I have to admit that I got hooked on procedural materials and lighting. For all those things Blender and the many free tutorials which can be found on YouTube provide a profound education.
And then I got a new camera, a DSLM. Then the question arose: How can combine real footage with 3D?
Of course, the answer is Visual Effects.
So, I started studying at die Graphische college in Vienna. There, as my diploma project, I did all the VFX for a short film called Lunacy. But what should I do next? I applied for the master course Digital Art – Compositing at the Filmacademy in Vienna. And got accepted.
One thing led to another and I started to work on one student's project after the other. Most of the times as digital compositor or any other position in the VFX pipeline. Although I have to admit that gaining some practical on-set experience in the lighting department was valuable, either.
That's why I am here. I am here to make movies. To show people the pictures all those books and stories out there create in our minds. To show people the impossible. To make the possimpible.
